Anyone know of any good hotels in Paris? I am planning on going there and staying in a nice hotel. I hear that there is a prison that has been converted into a hotel there... What's it called again?

Hi there are some super hotels in Paris - all depends on what you want to spend - deluxe - try the Lumen on rue des Pyramides - very central, near the Louvre and Opera. Another but not as de luxe is the 4 star Novotel at Les Halles - again very central or the little more budget one near the Chatelet - Le Brittanique. Try the tourist board at www.franceguide.com
Good luck!

Hi - I don't know the converted prison hotel but there is a very cheap budget one in the actual hospital of Hotel Dieu just in the square in front of Notre Dame - interesting building as the oldest and still used hospital in Paris.
I went to inspect it for my travel company France Made Easy (www.francemadeeasy.com) to see rooms but I wouldn't send clients as stairs first of all and you have to go through part of the hospital past equipment and trolleys etc - wouldn't be relaxing and is very basic - however some people obviously like the idea and do stay! Very central too!!
If you find out about the converted prison, let me know!
Thanks.
