Some members suggested we start some local French speaking communities. We will be glad to provide the space for you. If you want to organize your local club, whether it is in Toronto or Belgium or anywhere, just let us know. We will create a section for you to manage.

This may seem at counter-point to your discussion, but I have proposed creating sub-groups that are country-specific to France (I proposed "Franco-Indian Cooperation in Business & Welfare") where individuals, who might otherwise not find voice or hearing on other specific sites (like the Chambers of Commerce & Industry, or Alumni networks) could contribute freely, while having access to relevant information from the other sites, just as the latter would benefit from the views of individuals, professionals, NGOs, and others, who could contribute on the softer issues that help greater cooperation.

Such a forum could also be breeding ground for the cross-fertilisation of ideas (a hotelier could find travelling musicians, retired teachers could comment on educational issues). There could be exchanges that foster concrete action.

Of course, the regional sub-groups would be the ones who would have similar exchanges at local levels, and thus be ideal on-ground executors of all plans. Truly, they should be formed!

Thank you for the trust in letting me manage the new group, it is an honour.

Am still trying to understand the navigation and all the possibilities of the site, but have already started sending out invitations. The response has been encouraging!
