SR MANAGER BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE with several years of experience in the SW/High tech industry (LOCATION BAY AREA)
The Sr Manager Business Intelligence is responsible for setting the direction of application development in the analytical and operational reporting arenas, oversees the enterprise BI implementation plan and drives the BI infrastructure and operations. This person will manage a team of professionals who will analyze, design, develop and maintain the reporting environment on the Enterprise Data Warehouse and other Analytical and EPM applications. This person will also provide expertise in the areas of design, development, business process, reporting and performance tuning; and is responsible for the design and delivery of the BI technical solution as well as the reporting processes.
Primary Responsibilities
•Leading & building onsite & offsite BI teams; setting development priorities & ensuring on-time delivery of requirements.
•Develop project plans, risk management plans, resource/staffing plans, and documentation consistent with approved policies and methodologies.
•Define and provide continuous improvement of BI processes and procedures based on industry standards.
•Manage all aspects of the project lifecycle and deliver quality solutions that meet business requirements.
•Provide technical vision and subject matter expertise for business intelligence technologies. Manage the team which provides technical ownership and expertise for Enterprise BI systems.
•Coordinate activities with other internal and external organizations assigned to projects.
•Work closely and communicate effectively with a variety of worldwide business users.
•Participate in the evaluation and feedback of system requirements.
•Build the business intelligence governance & standardization, ensure its full adoption
•Work directly with business and technical personnel to achieve stated objectives of Information Systems-related projects.
•Own all aspects of the Enterprise BI production environment. Lead the team that will:
oArchitect mission critical, enterprise-wide BI Applications for a high level of availability, fault tolerance and acceptable performance for all regions and users world-wide.
o Architect a global security model, folder and category structure and navigation model for the global organization.
o Work with the IT Operations team to architect development, test, QA and Production systems, determine hardware requirements, provide input into hardware budgeting process and drive implementations. Ensure that systems are monitored and audited for performance and usage.
• Be a champion of new Adobe s’ technology and its integration in the BI world.
• Work closely with the Enterprise Data Warehouse team on all aspects linked to a successful BI implementation.
Work Experience:
•Ability to support the business in realizing business objectives through the application of EPM (Enterprise Performance Management), Dashboard and other BI analytical solutions.
•Solid Understanding of BI infrastructure and BI platforms implementation at high level of availability.
•Possess a proven track record of creating BI environment and infrastructure that were successfully implemented in a large environment.
•12+ years of Information Technology experience, with at least 5 years experience in managing large, complex BI projects from inception through implementation.
•5+ years relational database background.
•Previous experience in a BI management or similar position
•Experience in Data Warehouse methodologies, ETL, Data Mining and Dimensional Modeling.
•Deep Experience in at least one reporting suite (Business Objects preferred)
•Experience working with geographically dispersed clients and resources.
•Experience working with virtual teams
