Location: Work remotely from home France with up to 50% travel required
POSITION SUMMARY -
In the role of BlackBerry Security Advisor, you will be using your strong technical background, your ability to communicate, and consultative approach to the advancement and acceptance of the BlackBerry security solutions.
This role requires a versatile and experienced Information Security professional who is driven to succeed in highly complex environments and is passionate both about technology and business.
You will be developing and managing relationships with relevant government agencies in addition to working with a wide range of parties, including sales, business development, product management, and government relations.
As the team is expanding globally, you will be ensuring that the sound strategy is developed and executed on both national and regional level. With your entrepreneur spirit you will be able to work remotely while delivering value to the team and stakeholders.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Effectively engage in constructive dialog with both C-level executives, policy makers, and engineering staff in government agencies, carriers, and partners on product and service security, and technical aspects of policy.
• Be able to apply expert judgment to resolve complex situations and remove security related obstacles for Government, Enterprise and other sales channels.
• Support strategic, government, and carrier sales teams as a senior subject matter expert on BlackBerry security, IT security, and government regulations and relevant policies.
• Provide local support to other areas of RIM's Global Security: Product Management, Certifications, Research & Response, and Lawful Access teams.
• Build effective content for external and internal use and deliver presentations and webinars to customers, partners and public audiences.
• Represent BlackBerry Security Group at key public events, tradeshows, and association meetings in your region of responsibility.
• Be able to leverage BlackBerry solutions, partners' products, and IT security expertise to provide effective support in dealings with customers and partners.
• Be able to continually educate internal sales teams and improve their awareness of product security and relevant industry topics.
• Foster relationships with national and regional authorities in Information Security.
• Work with internal stakeholders and customers to help prioritize security assurance and certification programs.
• International travel will be required
ESSENTIAL SKILLS -
• 10-15 years of relevant professional experience in technology field with solid understanding of Enterprise Information Systems and Security, Networking technologies and IT management.
• Good understanding of government security regulations and classification schemas in France.
• Fluency in French, English
• Very strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication and public speaking skills.
• Previous consulting and/or technical sales experience
• Solid understanding of wireless and telecommunication technology and industry
• Demonstrated ability to bring complex escalations, involving technology and business, to successful closure
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Management Information Systems
• Graduate degree in Information Systems or Business preferred
• Ability to pass French security clearance

• CISSP accreditation
• Fluency in Dutch, Italian, Spanish
• Experience with security certification programs
• Experience in product management
• Experience with carrier business model
