Coordinator – Mine Training

Our client is the owner and operator of one of the world’s premier gold mines and is ranked among the top gold producers globally. There are currently looking for a Coordinator - Mine Training who can lead a team of heavy equipment operator and safety trainers. The successful candidate will be accountable for developing and maintaining operator training systems and coordinating operator and mine safety training activities.

As a Coordinator – Mine Training you will be offered the flexibility of either a family residential or FIFO roster of 6 weeks on 3 weeks off (Canada, Australia, NZ) or 18 days on and 10 days off (Europe).

This position, reporting to the Superintendent Mine Production, will be responsible for:
• Creating Training Presentations and Training Curriculums
• Creating monitoring systems to track how staff members have mastered the techniques
• Assist Trainers with ALL Mobile Equipment found in the pit


The successful candidate will possess:

• French Language skills (necessary)
• Previous working experience on the African continent
• Experience in open pit gold mining (truck / excavator environment)
• Sound awareness of operational risk management and an excellent personal safety record
• Minimum qualification of Grade IV in Workplace Training & Assessment (Diploma in Assessment & training Systems is preferred)
• Previous similar experience on a wide range of open-cut mining equipment
• A past experience in a developing country would be an advantage
